Balloon Fiesta Announces New Mexico Day for the 2024 Event!

Board of Directors shows Appreciation for New Mexico Residents with Free Admission to Attend Monday’s Flying Events

Albuquerque, New Mexico – The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Inc., a 501-C-3 Not-For-Profit New Mexico Corporation, announced that Monday, October 7^th will be New Mexico Day at the Balloon Fiesta! New Mexico residents who show either a photo ID or a utility bill with a New Mexico address will receive free admission to Monday’s flying events.

The Balloon Fiesta’s volunteer board of directors unanimously voted for New Mexico Day. “Balloon Fiesta is so appreciative of the support this event receives throughout our state. Allowing residents into Balloon Fiesta free on October 7 is our way of saying thank you!,” says Board President Judy Nakamura.

On Monday, October 7^th, when you arrive at Balloon Fiesta, go to a ticket booth (located next to all gates), show a photo ID with a New Mexico address or a utility bill with a New Mexico address and receive your ticket. Active-Duty Military should bring a military identification card and show it to a Balloon Fiesta ticket booth. Children who are12 and under already receive free admission to Balloon Fiesta. There is still a charge for parking.

Tickets for the 52^nd Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Powered by ExxonMobil, October 5-13, 2024, will go on sale 9:00am, Friday, April 5^th. Tickets for all flying events will be on sale, including Monday’s general admission tickets; however, the New Mexico Day tickets will only be available on Monday, October 7^th at a Balloon Fiesta ticket booth. No rainchecks or refunds will apply for New Mexico Day tickets. Parking for all Balloon Fiesta sessions is $20.
