NEW sand sculpture at Balloon Fiesta

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta begins next week. And while event officials and concessionaires set up, a unique display, new to the event, will be making its first appearance at Balloon Fiesta Park. The Sand Sculpture Company and master sculptor, Ted Seibert, will be on-site before and during Balloon Fiesta, creating a unique sand sculpture that will be revealed during the event. When complete the sculpture will weigh about 65 tons and be 12-13 feet tall.

The sand sculpture will be located toward the north end of Main Street.
