47th Balloon Fiesta Media Alert & Updates

We will have a news briefing on Monday, October 1 at 10:30am at the Balloon Fiesta offices to provide final event information for the 47th Balloon Fiesta. People addressing the media include Ty Young, President of the Balloon Fiesta Board of Directors; Paul Smith, Executive Director; and Sam Parks, Director of Operations.

On Tuesday, October 2, starting at 9am (for about two hours) volunteers will be installing “memory bricks.” These are bricks purchased in memory of someone or to recognize a loved one. This process will take about two hours and will be taking place at the path in the middle of main street that runs east to the roadway.

The October 7th Fireworks Show will have a unique introduction courtesy of the New Mexico Philharmonic and 12 cannons! Hint: it involves Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, https://nmphil.org/event/balloon-fiesta-up-away-october-7-2018/
